Learning Process

Because your child's education is our number one priority

Boca to Boynton Tutoring

Learning is a process. It is an active process in which the learner engages and manipulates objects, experiences, and conversations in order to build mental models of the world. Learners build knowledge by exploring the world around them, observe and interact with phenomena, converse and engage with others, and make connections between new ideas and prior understandings. Learning builds on prior knowledge, occurs in a complex social environments, is situated in authentic context, and requires motivation from the learner.

Children learn at their own paces. I evaluate each child and tailor our tutoring techniques to produce the highest results. I guarantee that I will  help your child catch up or even get ahead. With over fourteen years experience in privately tutoring students in kindergarten through college, your child will get the tools, tips, and tricks he or she needs to excel in school!

Different kids learn best with different methods, whether it's auditory, visual, or kinesthetic styles. Auditory learners benefit from hearing or verbalizing the material while visual learners benefit from graphs, charts, and drawing pictures, and kinesthetic learners benefit from remaining active while learning.

Each student will receive an individualized plan. During the first session, I will determine what the student knows so I can begin helping him or her grasp material he or she struggles with. In order for a student to begin to shine, he or she must have a solid basis. Teaching a student how to divide fractions when s/he does not know her/his times tables would not be advantageous to the student. The child will only become frustrated, lose self-esteem, and give up too easily. This is why private tutoring is so essential.

The number one cause for testing anxiety is the absence of confidence. Test grades skyrocket when students are confident in all aspects of the classroom. At times, your child will learn a topic very quickly and easily, but sometimes your child will need extra assistance. A student may need more time than he or she has in the classroom. When a student has one on one time with an expert, he or she can ask questions and learn material at his or her own pace.
